With Bitcoin, people have access to a new technology that serves as a store of value and transfer system, offering independence and practical protection against arbitrary interference. In many areas, however, we still depend on corporations and governments treating citizens fairly, and can only hope they handle our personal data responsibly and securely.
This makes it all the more important to support an organization like epicenter.works, which has been advocating for digital rights and data privacy for many years. The ability to do so directly with Bitcoin made this support a particular pleasure.
