14 October 2026 Viertel Zwei, head of the lake next to the OMV building Hoch Zwei, 1020 Vienna
Vienna gets a Satoshi Nakamoto statue
We unveil a sculpture of Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, in Viertel Zwei. The stainless steel figure is by Satoshi Gallery, the project of Italian artist Valentina Picozzi, and part of “21 Nodes”, a global art project. Austria’s Bitcoin community paid for it. The celebration also marks 15 years of Bitcoin Austria.
The figure stands for a founding idea of Bitcoin: there are no heroes. We are all Satoshi.
