You can switch mobile carriers, but not the model behind them: licensed spectrum, registered SIM, central infrastructure. Bitcoin solved that structural problem for money. MeshCore takes it on for messages. Cheap radios relay messages for each other, and the network grows because people join in.

This morning session is about the concepts behind it: how such a network works, what it can do and what it can’t. Kilometers of range on very little bandwidth, closer to telegraph than WhatsApp. Much of it will look familiar to Bitcoiners: identity is a keypair, direct messages are encrypted.

Doors open at 10:00, runs about 90 minutes.
